Penn’s Boys Track and Field team took a trip to Purdue University on March 4 to begin their season. While there were no places recorded, there were still many standouts for Penn as they found much success to being their run at another Regional Championship.
Josiah Williams had a fantastic meet leading Penn in the sprints category. Williams ran a 7.03 in the 55-meter dash (Converted to 60 meters) and a 23.47 in the 200 meters.
Phillip Harris ran 56.24 in the 400 meters and Hudson Kaser ran 2:06 in the 800 meters to earn firsts for Penn.
Penn found much success in the mile as they had two athletes go under 4:50. Brandon Mueller ran a 4:37 to get second overall and first for Penn. Freshman standout Kush Grewal ran a 4:49 in his first race as a high schooler.
V.J. Turna had a huge throw in the shot put throwing 49 feet to lead Penn. Jaedon Parker jumped 19 feet, 4.25 inches in long jump which led the Kingsmen.
