Girls Golf: Penn wins Sectional Crown

Wade earns medalist honors as Penn claims team title

Penn Sophomore Delaney Wade won medalist honors to lead the Penn Girls Golf Team to the Sectional Championship on Friday, Sept. 17.

Penn has now won 14 consecutive Sectional Championships in Girls Golf and 24 in program history.

Coach Katie Bella’s Kingsmen finished with a score of 341. Marian placed second at 347 and South Bend Adams was third with a score of 429.

Wade shot a 72, taking first on the individual leaderboard by two strokes over Marian’s Selah Unwin.

Meghan Mounts shot an 87 and placed fourth overall.

Gillian Lippert scored an 89, Jill Daniels finished with a 93, and Ella Peterson shot a 95.

Penn advances to the East Noble Regional, 8:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24, at Noble Hawk Golf Course.
