JV Baseball Defeats Jimtown

The JV Penn Baseball team took down the Jimtown Jimmies with a score of 11-1.

Kingsmen Brayden Plummer pitched and held the Jimmies to just one run in 6 innings.

Dalton Zultanski, a freshmen who got pulled up, started in center field.

Cole Bennett and Will Barnes each had two monster doubles. Plummer had a triple while Payton Horner had a double.

David Guarraci shares his insight on how the game went and what they did to defeat the jimmies.

“Personally I thought we played a great game, defense really stepped up after some not so great games and we really started to hit the ball well I thought and some of our bigger hitters are getting hot and stepping up to the plate. I think it was a great game for us to get prepared for our double header against Lakeshore,” Guarraci said.

Emerson Cowham talks about how his team did, and how he personally did in this match up.

“Overall it was a great win for us. We hit the ball hard and consistent. We put pressure on their defense and made them work. Brayden did a great job on the mound and I caught his complete game shutout. I personally did have a good game offensively with a bunt, base hit and RB. Defensively I did well to with no passed balls. Overall a great win for us,” Cowham said.

Brayden Plummer agrees,  “It took us a little bit offensively to see the pitcher but once we saw him we were tearing off. We played great defensive so once the bats come back around there was no going back.”
