Sectional pairings are drawn and the girls basketball teams are prepared to compete for a sectional title.
The Penn Girls Basketball team (20-2) will open play at Goshen High School on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in Class 4-A action.
Other teams fighting for a sectional title include Concord Minutemen (overall record: 4-16), Elkhart Central Blue Blazers (overall record: 7-14), Elkhart Memorial Chargers (overall record: 10-11), Goshen Red Hawks (overall record: 17-4), Northridge Raiders (overall record: 19-3), Penn Lady Kingsmen (overall record: 20-2), and Warsaw Community Tigers( overall record: 8-13).
Tickets for the sectionals game will be $6 per session or $10 for all sectional games. The address of Goshen High School: 401 Lincolnway E, Goshen, Indiana 46526.
Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m.– Elkhart Central will play Warsaw in Game 1.
Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m.– Elkhart Memorial will play Penn in Game 2.
Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m.– Northridge will play Goshen in Game 3.
Friday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.– The winner of Game 1 will play Concord in Game 4.
Friday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m.– The winner of Game 2 will play the winner of Game 3 in Game 5.
Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m.– The winner of Game 4 will play the winner of Game 5 for the Sectional Title Game.
Regionals will be held on Saturday, February 13. The cost of a ticket will be $7 per session or $10 for both sessions. The host site will be announced closer to the regional tournament.
The Semi-State will be held on Saturday, February 20. The cost of a ticket will be $8.o0. We will be provided the host site later on.
State will be held on Saturday, February 27. Admission will be $15 per session. The host site will be The Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Address: 125 S. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis.
