Softball: Olivia Signorino Commits to Toledo

Penn Softball pitcher Olivia Signorino will be continuing her academic and athletic careers at the University of Toledo.

Signorino, Class of 2025, played a key role in Penn’s stunning State Championship victory against the Nation’s No. 3 team, Indianapolis Roncalli.

“Toledo was my pick because it felt like home to me and they just have a great family environment there,” Signorino said.

During the 2023 season, Signorino battled through a rough injury and still managed to close out the State Final for the Kingsmen.

Penn softball has taught Signorino the importance of trust and strong bonds between her and her team. She said it has taught her to be happy for her teammates and their accomplishments.

Penn Softball head coach, Beth Zachary is very aware of Signorino’s skills on the field.

“Olivia is an incredibly intense competitor,” Zachary said. “She is focused and determined, she is unstoppable on the mound. Liv has continuously persevered and overcome challenges and we are so proud of the student-athlete and leader she is becoming. Due to her work ethic and drive to be the best she can be, there is no doubt Liv will continue to grow and succeed here at Penn and at the college level. Off and on the field, Liv is funny, kind, humble, and always a great teammate. We are so proud of her!”

This upcoming season will be Signorino’s third year with the Kingsmen as she does the most she can to lead Penn Softball to another State Title.
