Softball: Kingsmen Breeze past Portage

The Penn Kingsmen overpowered Portage under an avalanche of hits in their 9-1 win. With a combined total of 15 hits, nine different players had at least one hit.

Izzi Hanna led the team in hits, going 3-for-5. She hit a triple and drove in two runs, while also scoring one.

Kiley Hinton had a team-leading three RBI’s with two hits in three at-bats.

The Kingsmen had a field day on the base pads, stealing nine in total. Abigail Widmar, Logan Rumble, and Izabella Hanna all had one steal while Camielle Biever, Ashlyn Kronewitter, and Aubrey Zachary each had two thefts.

Aubery Zachary also dominated on the mound for four innings, only allowing one run while striking out seven. Olivia Signorino and Harmony Looney picked up right where she left off, combining for four strikeouts and only allowing one base hit.
