Lady Kingsmen Basketball Fall to The Lady Chargers

The Lady Kingsmen Basketball team fell short 60-38 against Fort Wayne Carroll Saturday, Jan. 21.

Carroll’s offense came out quickly and outscored the Kingsmen in three out of four quarters.

Julia Economou led the team in points, dropping 18 against the Chargers.

Sophomore Point Guard/Shooting Guard Jessa Troy spoke on her teammate’s performance and said that.

“Julia performed really well and was finding ways to get to the bucket. She is a leader on this team and consistently works hard,” Troy said.

The Lady Kingsmen move on to 15-6 during their regular season and are looking forward to the upcoming Sectionals beginning Jan. 31.

Junior Point Guard Lauren Walsh said, “The team has been working hard all season leading up to this point so we will continue to work and improve our game as we head into playoffs.”

The Lady Kingsmen will next take on Clay High Scholl on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at Clay.
