What is the most important thing you’ve learned through Penn athletics?: I have learned that no one is just handed things in life. It takes a lot of hard work to get to your goals.

Has it been hard to transfer from one stunting position to another?: It’s hard to switch stunting positions, because you have to learn a new way to do something that you thought you knew what to do, just in a different way. It’s like in math when the teachers teach you two ways to get the same answer.

What would you recommend to a freshman trying out for Penn cheer?: Always have a good positive attitude and be respectful to teammates and coaches.

What is the most difficult stunt you’ve done at Penn?: A hand-to-hand, where the flyer starts on her hands and flips up to her feet.

Is there anything specific you do before a game?: For games, it is very important to be in a good mood or else the game feels like forever, so something I do is try to hype myself up with music.

Would you want to cheer in college? If yes, where would you want to go?: I would love to cheer in college. I’m open to cheering anywhere but my number one school would be Auburn University.

What got you into cheer?: Cheer just started off as something to do, and through it I learned so much and met so many new people.

Are you afraid or have mental blocks while stunting/tumbling?: Mental blocks are one of the worst things when it comes to cheer. It’s all in what your head is telling you. For me my body knows how to do the skill, but it’s just getting that in your head.

What is your favorite part about Penn cheer?: I love all the girls and coaches on the team. Without the amazing environment I wouldn’t be a part of Penn cheer.

Do you think Penn cheer has opened opportunities for you, that you wouldn’t have otherwise?: I think it has opened up many opportunities for me. Without Penn Cheer I don’t think I would be friends with the people I am today.
