Varsity Baseball: Penn sweeps past Lakeshore

Penn Baseball wins pair vs. Lakeshore

Penn rallied late to score a 3-1 victory against Lakeshore in the first game of a doubleheader, and then the Kingsmen stormed to a 14-1 victory in the nightcap to claim a sweep in high school baseball action on Tuesday, April, 13.

Junior starting pitcher Ben Gregory threw five innings and struck out 10 batters while only giving up 1 run and 2 hits.

The Kingsmen rallied in the sixth inning to score the final three runs of the game, led by a home run from Sophomore Evan Tuesley.

In the nightcap, the Kingsmen offense came alive to the tune of a 14-1 victory.

Junior starting pitcher Hunter Mrozinski threw four innings and struck out three batters while only giving up 1 run and 1 hit.

The offense was on full display with multiple batters having 2 or more hits, as well as 2 or more RBI’s.
