Penn Boys Wrestling Wins Lake Central Harvest Classic

The Penn Boys Wrestling team demolished the competition at the Lake Central Harvest Classic.

The Kingsmen won the tournament with 265 points. Portage took second place with 242 points, Lake Central in third with 187.5 points, Hobart in fourth with 183 points and McCutcheon in fifth with 149 points.

Overall Penn had four individual champions and two runner-ups.

Junior Dylan Bennett won at the 120 lbs. weight class with a pin 1:08 into the first period.

Junior Bryce Denton won at the 138 lbs. weight class with a 7-6 decision.

The other two champions were both seniors. Evan Eutsey won the 145 lbs. weight class with a quick pin 0:26 into the first period. The second was AJ Steenbeke with another pin 2:00 into the first.

Other performances by the Kingsmen include seventh at 106lbs, fourth at 113lbs, fifth at 126 lbs., fifth at 132lbs., second at 152 lbs, second at 170 lbs., third at 182 lbs., fifth at 195 lbs., fifth at 220 lbs., and third at 285 lbs..
