Boys Soccer: Penn scores two wins at Zionsville Invite

Zionsville, IND. – The No. 17 Penn Kingsmen (8-2-3) played the No. 26 Pike Red Devils (6-2-3) in the first matchup of the Zionsville Invitational. The Kingsmen fought out a victory, winning 2-0 against the Red Devils. The second game was against the No. 41 Evansville North Huskies. The Kingsmen unleashed a relentless attack and came up with a 6-1 victory against the Huskies.

KEY MOMENTS

  • In the first game Senior David Ross went through the defense and finished with an easy goal to put the Kingsmen up 1-0. Junior Jason Laatz scored an amazing volley putting the Kingsmen up 2-0 against the Red Devils
  • The Kingsmen came out flying in the second game with Senior David Ross scoring within the first 6 minutes and then converted a PK making it 2-1 Kingsmen. Juniors Jackson Houser, Ty Lacognato, Jason Laatz, andAlex Dejesus each scored in the second half securing the win for the Kingsmen 6-1
  • Senior David Ross now has 17 goals this season
