Boys Basketball: Applegate leads Penn past Glenn

Penn Senior Noah Applegate connected for 22 points as the Kingsmen sprinted past Glenn, 77-41, in high school basketball action on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Penn is 9-2 overall and 5-0 in the Northern Indiana Conference.

Applegate, a 6-foot-6 runner, hit 9-of-12 field-goal attempts, including 2-of-3 from three-point range.

Senior point guard Drew Lutz scored 15 points and dished out eight assists.

Beau Ludwick scored nine points, Richard Brooks scored eight points, and Derek Derda and Caleb Applegate scored seven points each.

Penn hit 54 percent of its shots (32-of-59) and limited Glenn to 29 percent shooting (12-of-41).
