Kelsi Carrico reached some of Indiana high school soccer’s greatest levels playing Penn soccer from 2016-2020. She is currently playing soccer for Purdue.

Carrico’s high school accomplishments include Indiana Girls Soccer Player of the Year in 2019 (Indiana Miss Soccer), United Soccer Coaches High School All-American in 2019/2020, TopDrawerSoccer High School All-American in 2019/2020, 2x Indiana All-State Team, played in the 2019 Girls High School All-American game, 3x NIC All-Conference team, 3x Indiana All-District team, 2018 TopDrawerSoccer Indiana Rising Star, and 2x State Champion (2016 & 2017) and TopDrawerSoccer national championship.

At Purdue, Carrico’s college accomplishments include Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2021, Academic All-Big Ten in 2021, and John Wooden Leadership Award in 2022.

Sports have impacted Kelsi’s life because they taught her commitment, discipline, and time management.

“I appreciate sports because it has allowed me to build relationships and meet new people from all across the country that I would’ve never met!” Carrico said.

Carrico believes that Title IX has definitely helped to make sure females have equal opportunities, but she thinks that there is still more work to be done.
