Penn Senior Josiah Williams is a star football player and track team member. This is Williams third and final year of track.
Williams for the most of the season has been in the 4x100M Relay, 100M, and 200M races. He says that out of all three years he’s ran track, this is the year he feels most confident. His goal is to make the state podium in June.
“The work I’ve been putting in over the off season is starting to show but I’m not done yet,” Williams said.
Williams says he is most excited about the 4x100M Relay this year.
“I feel this is the year we have the best chance, its looking like all the pieces are going to fit together right in time for Bloomington and were going to give it everything we have,” Williams said.
Williams just helped the Kingsmen win the Goshen Relays, beating 15 other teams. Williams performed well, placing second overall in the 100M Dash and 4x100M Relay.
“We cant win everything, our team is the goal not just me, we have to stay focused and keep working hard, we still have a couple of weeks until the big show and I believe we will be ready then,” Williams said.
Next up for the Kingsmen is the Max Truex Invite at Warsaw High School on Friday, Apr. 28.
