The Penn Junior Varsity Softball Team started the season off strong with a 22-0 win against Valparaiso.
Freshmen Kennedy Lundquist and sophomore Kendall Morrett scored five and four runs respectively.
Easton Masten, Kendall Morrett and Kennedy Lundquist each hit home runs.
Kendall Courtney and Trinity Culp shared the shutout. They only allowed two hits, walked none. Culp struck out five and Courtney struck out four.
