#GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough has been Senior Anna Remington’s motto as she has brought an unmatched spirit to the team over her past years as a member of the Penn Girls Soccer team.
Over the years, not only has she grown her passion for soccer, but shes also discovered another place with people she can call home.
“PGS has taught me that you can have a family without being blood-related to them. Being a part of this means so much to me, these girls are all my best friends, and I love them so much. There’s nothing none of us wouldn’t do for each other,” Remington said.
The Penn Girls Soccer Defender has created energy amongst the team and has helped set the tone for the underclassmen and newcomers who have joined the program that they indeed are one team, and they must come together as one–no matter what level they may play at.
The impact she will leave on the PGS team will not be forgotten, and Head Coach Jeff Hart is no stranger to this.
“Anna has been an important part of the Penn Girls Soccer program since she stepped on the field as a freshman. She’s played all over the field for us during her time as a member of PGS and she has developed important leadership skills that will be a big part of the legacy she leaves behind. A relentlessly positive teammate, she always plays the game with enthusiasm, passion, and toughness. She’s settled into an attacking role for us this season and we are blessed to have her help lead and mentor so many younger teammates in the PGS Standard,” Coach Hart said.
As of now, Remington plans on focusing on her academics in college, but when she does make her decision of where she will be continuing her journey she may play club or even at a small NAIA school.
Until then, she will be assisting her team as they face their soon upcoming state run as PGS looks to finish their season strong.
