Powder Puff: Juniors win title in overtime thriller
The Juniors took down the Seniors in the 2024 Powder Puff Championship, winning the title with a thrilling 16-14 victory on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Running back Kami Bauer scored both touchdowns for the Juniors, and Macy Little kicked the extra points to secure the win over the Seniors.
“When it went in, I was so happy and everyone running up to me was so fun and exciting!” Little said of her game-winning kick.
The Juniors beat the Freshmen 16-0 to secure a place in the championship. The first touchdown was made by wide receiver Macy Little from a pass by quarterback Logan Rumble. The second touchdown was scored by quarterback Logan Rumble. Macy Little kicked the two extra points for the Juniors.
The Seniors then beat the Sophomores 14-0. Quarterback Ava Zachary and running back Sophia Ugwoke scored the two touchdowns for the Seniors. Kendra Boots scored the extra point for the Seniors.
The Sophomore and Freshmen consolation game ended in a win for the Freshmen, 12-6. Freshmen wide receivers Harper Rumble and Easton Masten scored off of passes from quarterback Charlie Swiger. Sophomore Amani Reed scored the touchdown for the Sophomores.
Freshman Quarterback Charlie Swiger enjoyed her Powder Puff experience.
“The practices are super fun and it’s awesome watching all the hard work you put into practice pay off in the games,” Swiger said.
Sophomore Kendall Morrett also loved Powder Puff.
“It’s a really fun time to learn about football and hangout with friends.”
Wide Receiver Phoebe Wood said that she looked forward to this season’s Powder Puff game.
“I always look forward to Powder Puff because I love getting to play with my friends, we always have so much fun at practices,” Wood said.
Senior Running back and linebacker Lizzy Green said that her final Powder Puff experience was meaningful.
“It’s a really good experience and I would encourage others to do it to get out and meet new people,” Green said.
