Penn High School’s Hoosier Spell Bowl team hit the road to Oxford, Indiana, on Monday night, October 12, to win the Benton Central Invitational with a near perfect score of 89 out of a possible 90. The win was the fourth invitational title for the Kingsmen this season in as many outings.
The Kingsmen junior varsity turned in score of 84.

Perfect varsity spellers for Penn were: Michelle Tapp, Athreya Sundaram, Muqsit Buchh, Knika Arora, Presto George, Maggie Finnessy, Hannah Smith, Faihaan Arif and Chris Yun.
Perfect junior varsity spellers for Penn were: Amy Bernard, Tingyi Lu, Chelsea Chen, Priya Chaudhary, Yejee Oh, and Ali Sualeh.
Next up for the Kingsmen is the Kouts Invitational #2 on Monday, October 19.
