Kingsmen Athletics Review March 22-27

The Penn Softball Team opened the season with a thrilling 8-7 victory against Carroll. Breana Pratt had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs. Aubrey Zachery earned the victory.
Penn Boys Track dominated New Prairie, 98-25. Sixteen different Kingsmen athletes won blue ribbons. Vincent Nierzwicki-Trifiletti won 3 blue ribbons to lead the Kingsmen. Tristan Manis, Alec Hardrict, Dillon Pottschmidt, Seth Jankowski each placed first in two events.
The Penn Girls Track Team beat New Prairie 88-44. Julie Smith won 2 blue ribbons. Kaylie Hanyziewski, Molly Chapla, Reagan Hoke, Morgan Collins, Julia Economou, Haley Makowski, Taylor Lashbrooke, Sydney Sanders and Kennedy Szabo placed first in one event each.
Girls Lacrosse continued its strong showing, defeating Westfield 8-4. Juli Kirkpatrick, Emily Parrott and Kaley Butler scored 2 goals each. Mackenzie Holland and Sequoia DeLeu scored 1 goal each. Sequoia DeLeu had 2 assists, and Zoe Montgomery had 5 saves.
Bishop Dwenger defeated Penn in rugby, 19-12. Wallace Kennach and  Evan Lowe punched in tries for the Kingsmen. Andrew Phillips converted one kick.
