Penn High School’s Competition Poms Team on placed fourth in the state championships.
The Penn Boys Lacrosse Team opened the season with a thrilling 10-9 victory against Evansville North. C.T. Loring scored the game-winner with four minutes left. Logan Huchko scored three goals, and Ewan Ma and Dyllan Holt scored two goals each. Cole Potter played tough in goal with 14 saves.
The Penn Girls Lacrosse Team defeated Indianapolis Cathedral, 10-5, in its season opener.
Julianna Kirkpatrick powered Penn with three goals. Lana Skibins scored 2 goals. Mackenzie Holland, Kaley Butler, Madison Bays, Emily Parrott and Sequoia DeLeu scored one goal each.
Julianna Kirkpatrick dished out two assists, and Lana Skibins contributed one assist.
Zoey Montgomery earned the ‘W’ in goal with four saves.
