Baseball: Work ethic puts Milo Ziegler on track for success
Milo Ziegler and the gym lights are on before the first bell rings at Penn High School.
Ziegler, who played third base for the Penn Junior Varsity Baseball Team in the Spring of 2026, is quietly working on the little details that don’t appear in the box score, putting in extra repetitions while the majority of students are just waking up. For him, being a student-athlete is about consistency rather than recognition.
That approach helped Ziegler hit an impressive .368 with 15 RBI in 15 games this season.
It’s challenging to juggle practice, competition, and school, but Ziegler has developed a routine that helps him stay grounded. His goals are clear and his days are organized. He approaches everything with the same mindset: improve every day, whether it’s enduring a challenging
workout or maintaining concentration in the classroom.
But what separates Ziegler isn’t just his work ethic—it’s his attitude. He’s known for encouraging teammates and leading without needing the spotlight. In a sport where individual performance often stands out, Ziegler focuses on the team.
That mindset has earned him respect across the program.
For Ziegler, the journey is still unfolding. There are more games to play, more lessons to learn, and more goals ahead. But one thing is already clear—his impact goes beyond the field.
Because long after the final inning, it’s not just about wins or stats.
It’s about the kind of person you become—and Milo Ziegler is building something that lasts.
