Varsity Softball: Penn seeks 11th consecutive title

The Penn Varsity softball team is looking to clinch its 11th sectional championship title as the postseason starts Thursday, May 29, 2025, for the Kingsmen. 

Penn plays at 5:30 p.m. the winner of the first-round game between South Bend Adams and Mishawaka.

Adams and Mishawaka play at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, followed by the game between Michigan City and South Bend Riley.

New Prairie plays LaPorte at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28.

The Michigan City-Riley and New Prairie-LaPorte winners play in the second semifinal game on Thursday, May 29.

Championship action is scheduled for noon on Saturday, May 31.

Mishawaka is the Sectional host, and games will be played at Baker Park, 811 S. Byrkit, Mishawaka, IN 46530, at 5:30 pm.

Tickets will cost $7 per session, but no charge for preschool children who will be seated with an adult.
