The Penn Girls Track & Field Team thrived at the West Lafayette Indoor meet on March 4.

The indoor season opener featured individual events. After a successful day, the girls team is looking forward to a great season.

Sophomore Sofia Ugwoke says, “I have really improved on my block starts and my first steps. I’m excited for the rest of this season.”

“The relationship between my relatives and my friends has made my first year of track a great experience so far. I have come so much further than I had thought so this season,” Abbi Gingrich said.

“So far, I think I have improved my mindset/approach to workouts and my leadership on the team. One of my favorite things about track is being able to do something I’m passionate about with the best teammates I could ask for,” Senior Julia Economou said.
