Swim/Dive: Kingsmen start State Tournament action

The Penn Girls Swim and Dive team will begin its quest for State glory as the Kingsmen start with Sectional competition at South Bend Riley High School.

Penn sent 10 races down to the State Meet in Indianapolis in 2023, finishing 3rd place in the state. Lily Christianson is a three-time state champion seeking a state championship for a fourth season.

This season, the Sectional starts with Preliminaries scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, at Riley.

Sectional action continues on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 9 a.m. with diving. Swim finals follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Riley.

Penn has won 30 sectional championships in Girls Swim and Dive history, including the past four seasons in a row.

Last year Penn set a sectional record in the 200 Medley Relay (Avery Woods, Anika Guenther, Alynna Riggins, Lily Christianson).
