Softball: Logan Rumble’s Next Stop At Northwestern

Published on

Logan Rumble will be taking her academic and athletic abilities to the next level at Northwestern University in Illinois.

“I chose Northwestern because I wanted to attend a school that was extremely good academically, and that also had a very high level softball program,” Rumble said. “It checks off both of the boxes, which makes this an amazing choice for her. “Northwestern Softball is a team that pushes themselves to a new level with everything they do. I am excited to be a part of that culture.”

Rumble, who was a starter on Penn’s State Championship Team in 2023, is an outstanding athlete. Last season, the Kingsmen outfielder had an amazing batting average of .348, hit seven home runs, drove in 32 runs, had a slugging percentage of .725, and hit a total of 5 doubles.

Penn Softball has impacted her in many ways. She explains that this program taught her “how to be mentally strong and live in the moment rather than dwell on past mistakes”. Penn has taught her to trust in herself, have confidence, and perform well in big, challenging situations.

Coach Beth Zachary, head coach of Penn Softball, said that Rumble has a dream combination of being super intense and passionate at the same time.

“Logan is incredibly disciplined and dedicated to putting in the hard work that it takes to be the best softball player possible,” Zachary said.

Zachary said that all of these attributes make Rumble a great teammate and will make her a huge success and addition to Northwestern.
