Penn Girls Track and Field Shines at Hoosier State Relays

The Penn Girls Track & Field team showed off their talent at the 2025 Hoosier State Relays Indoor State Championship.

In the 3200M race, Sophomore Lila Van Hoveln ran a time of 11:09.61, placing 13th.

For the 4x800M relay, the Penn runners performed well again, placing seventh in the competition with a time of 9:35.13.  The relay team included runners Junior Ari Balinnang, Freshman Shreya Nayee, and Seniors Aubrey Morgan and Janine Mbianda.

Penn also competed in the DMR event, placing 24th with a time of 13:58.90. The DMR team that competed for Penn was composed of runners Balinnang, Sophomore Ella Neuenschwander, Freshman Samantha Pentelow, and Van Hoveln.

The only field event qualifier for the Kingsmen was Addison Hummel. She placed 14th overall in the shot put event with a score of 34-2.50

The state championship meet marked the end of the indoor season. The Lady Kingsmen now look to excel in the outdoor season.
