Penn Girls Soccer: Looking toward the state tournament

As the Penn Girl’s Soccer team gets close to the postseason, questions are raised on how the postseason will go.

Their record is currently 5-4-3. The team is currently ranked 297 nationally, 31 in the state, and 14 in class 3A.

Last year, their season was cut short in the first round of Regionals with a loss to Northridge.

The Lady Kingsmen have worked hard all season in hopes of having a better run this year.

Penn senior forward, Anika Guenther has had an outstanding season so far being the leading scorer with 15 goals and the leading assister with 9 assists.

The sectional draw takes place Sunday Sept. 29. Penn’s Sectional contains Mishawaka, Adams, Michigan City, and Riley.

The Lady Kingsmen have won 17 Sectional Championships in a row.
