Penn Girls semistate bound

The Penn girls are looking forward to semistate action, after a win against rival South Bend St Joseph. The match ended     1-0 in Penn’s favor, the lone goal coming from senior Jensen Stroinski.

Penn’s semistate match up is Leo. It will be played at St. Joseph, at noon on Saturday, October 24. Leo is ranked 255th nationally, and 28th in the state. Penn is No. 8 in the nation, and first in the state at the moment.

Penn will come in a favorite, but Leo should not be taken lightly, they are undefeated in conference play and are 14-2-2 overall. Penn is also undefeated in their conference, and boasts a 19-0-2 record.

If Penn beats Leo, the Kingsmen play the Fishers-Munster winner at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. Joseph.

The state championship match is set for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis.
