On Dec. 19, 2024, the Lady Kingsmen girls basketball team prevailed over the Eagles of South Bend Adams.
Bouncing off of a dominant victory against Concord, the Lady Kingsmen were fueled with excitement and determination to steal this game away from the Eagles.
Penn’s Anna Sachire reflected on the team’s game day mentality.
“We were all really excited going into the game and it obviously meant even more because it was a conference game. We knew what we needed to do and did a great job of attacking first, which carried over throughout the rest of the game,” Sachire said.
With the dominant Penn victory, the Lady Kingsmen took the game away with a score of 76-35.
Junior Anna Sachire and Macy Little contributed to the game with 13 additional points.
Senior Jessa Troy also impacted the game with a stellar 12 points.
Sophomore Alivia Dawson, along with freshmen Lexi Werner and Addison Hummel, all left their mark on the court with an additional 10 points.
Head Coach Kristi Ulrich reflected on this significant performance.
“I felt that we really delivered the first punch. Overall, our defense brought a ton of energy out there on the court for us which had a great impact on our game. I am very proud of the performance these girls put out, and we will look forward to continuing to improve,” Ulrich said.
