Last month the IHSAA executive committee named high school girls lacrosse an emerging sport for the 2025-2026 school year.
So what does this mean for Penn?
Penn Girls Lacrosse head coach, Becca Plantz makes it her goal to get as many high school girls interested in lacrosse as she can. With the sport being an official emerging sport, it opens up a gateway to young girls who want to dive into the world of lacrosse.
Benefits included being funded by the school next year with things like transportation, equipment, and uniforms, as well as IHSAA oversite of the state tournament.
