Penn dominates at NIC Championships

Penn Girls Swim/Dive dominated the Northern Indiana Conference Championships on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022.

Sophomore Lily Christianson won four blue ribbons and set two individual records and swam on two record-setting relay teams.

Senior Ingrid Fretz also won four blue ribbons and was part of two record-setting relay teams.

Senior Madi Bottorff also was on two record-setting relay teams.

Alyssa Messenger won four blue ribbons (one record).

Anika Guenther won two blue ribbons (one record).

Avery Woods won one blue ribbon.

200 Medley Relay: Alyssa Messenger, Anika Guenther, Avery Woods, Madi Bottorff 1:48.34.

200 Freestyle: Ingrid Fretz 1:53.87.

200 Individual Medley: Alyssa Messenger 2:10.77.

50 Freestyle: Lily Christianson 23.05 (RECORD).

100 Freestyle: Lily Christianson 50.67 (RECORD).

500 Freestyle: Ingrid Fretz 5:04.04.

200 Freestyle Relay: Ingrid Fretz, Madi Bottorff, Anika Guenther, Lily Christianson 1:37.31 (RECORD).

100 Backstroke: Alyssa Messenger 58.06.
