Penn’s Anika Guenther is one of the six players from the state of Indiana to be selected for First-Team All-Region. The United States Coaches Association has three districts – Atlantic, Central and Pacific. Guenther was named to the U.S. Central All-Region Team.
Making this team shows coaches, other players, and teams that Guenther is one of the best players in the Midwest. During Fall season of 2023, Guenther was able to score 13 goals and support her teammates with seven assists.
“Anika gives relentless effort all the time, and when you have great talent that matches relentless effort you become a difference maker,” Penn Girls Soccer Head Coach Jeff Hart said.
Guenther has many colleges reaching out to her. Those colleges include Illinois State, Illinois, Florida and Purdue.
