No. 18 Penn opens state tournament action with a blockbuster match-up against No. 4 South Bend Washington in the Class 4-A LaPorte High School girls basketball sectional.

Penn (19-5) takes on Washington (21-1) at approximately 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Michigan City (4-16) plays South Bend Adams (6-11) in the Wednesday opener at 6:30 p.m.
All tickets are $7 a person and can be purchased online HERE before the games or at the gate with Debit/Credit or Cash. Concessions are CASH ONLY, and restrooms will be available in both North and South lobbies.
Mishawaka (2-21) played South Bend Riley (15-9) in the Sectional opener and lost 52-38.
Semifinal action action takes place on Friday, Feb. 7. The host Slicers (0-21) play Riley game at 6:30 p.m. The Penn-Washington winner plays the Michigan City-Adams winner at 8 p.m.
The Sectional Championship game is set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at LaPorte.
The Washington-Penn game is a re-match. The Panthers defeated Penn 52-50 on Dec. 6.
