What advice would you give a freshman about Penn Athletics?: Some advice I would give a freshman coming into Penn to play a sport is to get ready to work hard and be prepared to be outworked. You always compete here, and your developed work ethic will set you up for success.
When you make a mistake, how do you come back from it?: When I make a mistake, I try and remember that at the end of the day, our sport is such a small part of us and we won’t remember these little mistakes a year from now so why dwell on it.
What helps you get pumped up on game day?: On game days I love listening to music with my team. I drink an energy drink almost every game day and live by the motto “Look good, feel good, play good.”
What is one challenge that helped you improve your skill?: One challenge that helped me improve my skills was competing with my teammates for a spot. This helped me to work harder at my skills and make me better.
What traits do you love in a team leader?: I think it is very important for a team leader to be passionate about their sport, motivating, and have perseverance to overcome anything.
Do you find the resources here at Penn beneficial to improving your skill?: The resources here at Penn are unmatched. Athletes are so heavily cared for no matter what sport. You always have the opportunity to get better.
What do you love about representing Penn High School?: I love the overall atmosphere. It is a constant competition and just knowing you represent one of the best schools in the state let alone the country is a feeling you can’t even describe.
What do you love about your sport?: I just love how much fun softball is and how everyone is so unique in how they do things but you’re all working together for a common goal.
Who is a player that you look up to and why?: I don’t necessarily look up to a specific player rather I look up to all my teammates. They are all incredible people that push me to be the best version of myself and I look up to them for that.
Where do you see yourself in the future with softball?: In the future, I plan to play softball at Ave Maria University in Florida. I hope to bring my skills and leadership there to make a big impact to the program.
