Lexi Leader is a Sophomore who has been a key player on the Penn Varsity.
Who is a player (at any level) you look up to, and why?: Zoe Hasenauer, because I have watched her play since she was my age on Youtube and love the way she plays the game of soccer.
What do you love about representing Penn High School?: I love the team aspect, and the girls. We are all very close to each other which leads to are connection on the field better.
What traits do you love in a team leader?: I love someone who is supportive of their teammates and can always lend a helping hand or call someone out for their mistake.
What advice would you give a freshman about Penn Athletics?: I would tell them to make sure to stay organized with their school work because once you fall behind in season it’s hard to get back on track quickly.
What is your favorite sports movie, and why?: Hustle, because it shows how hard work can beat talent. That you shouldn’t give up on your dreams.
What is your favorite pig-out food?: I love any forms of chicken it’s my favorite thing. Chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, chicken sandwiches i just really love those
What do you love about your sport?: I love how whenever I play I am able to get away from reality and have a break from all the things that are bothering me.
What is your favorite pre-game food? I like to have either a Coke Slushee or an energy drink and Nerds gummy clusters.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned through Athletics?: I’ve learned that win or lose it’s the lessons you learn in the process that have more of a benefit than the actual win.
What are your pre-game rituals?: I do my hair, have an Alani, listen to my game-day playlist, and eat good snacks
