Getting to Know: Abby Widmar

As you just signed your letter of intent to play D1 softball at Indiana State University, what is one thing that made you pick Indiana State?: I picked Indiana State for its beautiful campus and program. Indiana State offers a really good nursing program that I would love to pursue later on in my life. I also choose Indiana State for the amazing coaches and teammates.

What is one piece of advice you would give to people currently in the recruitment process?: The right school will come to you, be patient. 

What are you most looking forward to for this upcoming Penn softball season?: I am looking forward to getting back with my teammates and working towards a state championship!

Can you describe the Penn Softball environment and how you plan to work this year?: PSB environment is unreal … I can’t describe the right word that explains this team! They are all amazing people and teammates. I plan to work this year to get 1% better each day. 

What is one thing you would like to do for your senior season?: Win a state championship!
