After leading the Penn Swim and Dive Team to the state meet with a 100 meter butterfly sectional record in her sophomore year, Junior Alayna Riggins recently announced her commitment to Purdue University.
Riggins has been swimming since before she can remember, and she can’t imagine her life without it. No matter where she ended up going to college, she knew she’d keep swimming. She didn’t originally plan on attending Purdue, but plans changed as soon as she set foot on campus
“I met the coaches and met the team and just fell in love with everything when I was there,” she said.
Riggins is set to graduate Penn in 2026 and from Purdue in 2030 with a degree in exercise science.
