Penn Football takes on cross-town rival Mishawaka Marian this upcoming Friday, September 23rd. Here’s our senior leader Sahib Alshawi with his thoughts about the game.

How’s coming off the Elkhart win, boost your confidence going into Marian?: “Coming off of a big win against a great opponent definitely feels good but we just have to focus on the opponent this week.”

What do you guys need to do to beat Marian?: “In practice, we just need to stay focused and really work on the things that went wrong against Elkhart.”

What do you love about cross-town rivalry games?: “That the kids from both teams have grown up together and everyone kind of knows each other so it’s always more fun to play against them.”

What do you love about this team as a Senior Leader?: “I love the brotherhood that we have, we all have a great bond that makes this team so special.”

What areas do you think you guys need to improve going into the state tournament?: “I think we definitely need to improve on playing a full game, not just the first half or just the second half.”
