The LaPorte Slicers and the Penn Kingsmen football teams faced off on Friday, Aug. 27, at TCU Freed Field at Penn High School. The Slicers’ running back Collin Bergquist scored a 1-yard touchdown run in overtime to give LaPorte the advantage in a 21-14 victory.
Kingsmen highlights:
- Running backs Josiah Williams (6 yard run) and Alec Hardrict (25 yard run) both scored touchdowns for the Kingsmen.
- Ryne Buckley completed 4-of-8 passes for 52 yards.
- Zach Lane recorded the most yards gained on the ground for the Kingsmen, rolling up 89 yards on 20 carries.
