JV Football: Overcoming the Trials

Published on

After a disappointing start to the season, the Penn JV Football team is having a successful year.

Coach Raoul Donati and his talented young team, lost a heartbreaker to Valparaiso in its first game, losing 6-24 to the Vikings.

Liam Dylla, a sophomore wide receiver, described the reason for the loss as being unprepared. Also adding in that the Kingsmen were the dominant team.

“We’ve gotten a lot better since that loss to Valpo. We’ve just been doing our jobs and working hard every day,” says Dylla. “We started the season rough but ever since beating Mishawaka it’s been good and we’ve been putting in the work.”

Since then, the Kingsmen have turned things around, by pummeling Mishawaka 41-0, and most recently beating Wawasee 47-7. Their record is now 3-1.

As the season comes to an end, this team is looking to accomplish even more. Support them in their next game against the Elkhart Lions on Saturday Oct. 5 at 10 AM
