Rugby: Penn’s Rylan Frazier commits to Western Michigan

Penn’s Rylan Frazier has committed to Western Michigan University to continue his rugby career. Frazier was able to find his passion within Penn’s Rugby program, and even more so being able to continue playing at a higher level for WMU.

“Committing to WMU means a lot to me,” Frazier said. “Going into my Junior year I had no clue where I was going to go for college. I played one season of rugby and knew it’s what I wanted to do and Coach Slevatz (WMU Rugby Coach) helped me find my home.”

Penn Rugby has helped guide Frazier and foster a brotherhood that he will take into his Senior season.

“Every game I play isn’t just for me, it’s for my teammates around me,” Frazier said. “Frazier’s goals are set high for his final high school season.

“I’ve never wanted anything more than to win it all with this group of guys.”

With Frazier transforming from a Penn Kingsmen to a WMU Bronco in the Fall, Frazier has some things he is looking forward to.

“I’m excited to play next to Carson (Reed) again, but what I’m most looking forward to is playing (against) Dougie (Searles) next year,” Frazier said. “That’s going to be something.”

Searles, another Penn Rugby Senior, is a University of Louisville commit.
