The Penn Kingsmen Hockey Team jumpstarts the 2025-2026 season with the Jamboree on Friday, Sept. 5, at Notre Dame’s Compton Ice Arena.
Penn Gold and Penn Black merge into two separate teams to play three games against South Bend St. Joseph, South Bend Adams, and Lakeshore/St. Joseph.
The games are 25 minutes each with a running clock, and each team plays three games that are played on Olympic and Lefty Smith rinks.
The event is from 6-9 p.m.
The Kingsmen games are:
- St. Joseph (1) vs. Penn (1), 6:15 p.m.
- St. Joseph (2) vs. Penn (2), 6:45 p.m.
- St. Joseph (2) vs. Penn (1), 7:30 p.m.
- Lakeshore/St. Joseph vs Penn (2), 7:50 p.m.
- Adams vs. Penn (1), 8:25 p.m.
- St. Joseph (1) vs. Penn (2), 8:40 p.m.
Senior leader Gabe Penzenik is looking forward to the Jamboree.
“It’s a good opportunity to start the season and showcase the team’s potential and what we need to work on,” Penzenik said.
