Swimming: Penn sweeps Clay

Penn’s Boys and Girls Swim/Dive teams swept South Bend Clay in Northern Indiana Conference action on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2020.

The Penn Girls won by a score of 147-36.

The Penn Boys defeated South Bend Clay, 147-31.

Sharon Ni and Isabella Costa led the Penn Girls with three blue ribbons each.

Gabby Costa, Julia Son, Madi Bottorff and Logan Koszyk each placed first in two events.

Gwynne Ohlson, Alyssa Messenger, Nicki Kilbourne, Megan Rach, Bailey Betzer, Alyssa Richards and Paige Walter placed first in one event each.

Joe Radde and Joel Cummins each won three blue ribbons in the Boys meet to lead the Kingsmen.

Lucas Evans, Connor Craig and Collin Fleming won two blue ribbons each.

Blake Trowbridge, Nathan Grant, Matthew Howell, Tomas Salas, Nate Reininga, Jacob Retek, Aaron Dies, Chris Howell and Brock Richards placed first in one event each.
