Girls Swimming: Christianson wins state

Penn Freshman Lily Christianson won a State Championship in the 50 Freestyle, and placed in three other events to highlight Penn’s effort at the IHSAA State Championship on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021.
Christianson placed second in the State in the 100 Breaststroke in 1:02.17, just .04 of a second off the winning time.
Penn’s 200 Freestyle Relay Team of Madison Bottorff, Nicole Kilbourne, Jordan Koszyk and Lily Christianson placed 6th in the State.
The Kingsmen 200 Medley Relay Team of Alyssa Messenger, Lily Christianson, Avery Woods and Madison Bottorff placed 9th in the State
Penn’s 400 Freestyle Relay Team of Jordan Koszyk, Madison Bottorff, Avery Woods and Alyssa Messenger placed 14th in the State.
Alyssa Messenger placed 11th in the 100 Backstroke and Jordan Koszyk placed 14th in the 500 Freestyle.
