Penn wrestlers turned in an exceptional effort at the East Chicago Semi-State on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Eight Penn wrestlers qualified for the State Championships in Indianapolis on Feb. 19-20.
Dylan Bennett (106), Bryce Denton (113), Matteo Vargo (126), James Smith (145), A.J. Steenbeke (160), Pate Eastin (170), Peyton Kendall (220) and Brock Donati (285) will compete under the bright lights of Bankers Life Fieldhouse as they seek IHSAA glory.
The Kingsmen placed third in the team standings.
Penn’s Pate Eastin won the Semi-state crown at 170 with a 14-6 victory to lead Penn’s effort at the Semi-State.
