Tristan Zuyderwyk carved out an impressive legacy on the Penn High School Swim and Dive as a State Finalist competitor and a leader.
Zuyderwyk specialized in freestyle sprinting, but always contributed and dominated wherever the team needed him.
“I really appreciate the group of friends I made through swimming, and I hope to be remembered as a leader to all,” Zuyderwyk.
At Penn, he was also involved in Freshman Mentoring
Zuyderwyk’s favorite memory was being defeated by Riley at sectionals in the Medley Relay, then out-touching Riley at state in the same event.
“Tristan was a great sprinter!” Penn Head Coach Jess Preston said. “He excelled in all four strokes and was an invaluable member on both of our 200 relay teams. He is a respectful young man and his contributions to our team will be greatly missed.”
Zuyderwyk will be attending Purdue University in the fall studying Kinesiology
