This upcoming weekend, the Penn Boys JV Football Team will face off against the South Bend Adams JV football team. This event is taking place at Everwise Freed Field at 10:00 AM on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The Penn JV football team is coming off of a strong win against Elkhart, winning 21-8 and increasing their record to 3-1.
So far this year, both the JV and Varsity South Bend Adams teams have struggled on the field. Both teams are currently 0-5 on the season.
The Penn JV’s Defense squad is a huge asset for the Kingsmen. The Kingsmen Defense amassed six tackles for loss and three sacks when playing against Elkhart.
The special team unit is also playing well. Colden Hernanez is a strong punt and kick returner for Penn. He is consistently making big plays just like at Elkhart, when he scored on a 40 yard punt return to win the game.
Some more standout players are Brandon Termont, coming up with a big interception against Elkhart. This ended up turning into a touchdown for Penn on the other side of the ball.
The Penn boys are also hard hitters coming up with two forced fumbles and a scoop and score last game.
On the offensive side, South Bend Adams is going to have to be prepared for the Penn run game.
Dalton Zultanski is an absolute monster at running back, who also is accompanied by Cohen Wysong who had a solid few carries in the Varsity football game after Penn’s star running-back got hurt.
Penn is hoping to keep their winning streak and raise their record to 4-1 and South Bend Adams is hoping to get some sort of momentum going to attain their first victory of the season.
