Penn JV Baseball Takes Care of Business Against Mishawaka

Published on

On Friday Apr. 20, the Kingsmen JV Baseball team won its home non-conference game against the Mishawaka Cavemen by a score of 13-1.

Penn started off strong in this game with scoring 4 runs in the first inning. After that the Kingsmen never took their foot off the gas with two more in the second following seven in the third while only allowing the Cavemen one to run the entire game.

“It’s our biggest rival so we aren’t gonna play them at their level, we went out there and our guys dominated”, Player Brayden Plummer said.

Player Hunter Steenbeke also says, “When you play one of your biggest rivals like Mishawaka it’s always a big game, and for our team to win is always great especially when everyone is hitting well putting up lots of runs then shutting them  down when we are on defense.”

Player River Pecina also adds, “I think the team did a really good job competing and playing as a team to win each inning.”

The JV Baseball Team next takes on Lake Central on Saturday, Apr. 22.
