Penn’s 2024 Football Season will feature several changes. The Kingsmen are picking up South Bend Riley and South Bend Washington due to changes in the Northern Indiana Conference. Penn dropped Carmel and Hammond Morton due to the NIC schedule changes.
Penn will scrimmage Class 4-A state runner-up NorthWood on Friday, Aug. 16, at home.
The Kingsmen open the season at home, taking on Class 5-A powerhouse Valparaiso on Friday, Aug. 23.
Penn will then face off against Mishawaka in an away game for a Backyard Brawl rematch. Penn beat Mishawaka 28-7 last season.
Penn’s final seven games of the regular season are all NIC games.
Penn plays Riley at Jackson Field on Sept. 6, and hosts Washington on Sept. 13. The Kingsmen take on Marian in a home game on Sept. 20, and then hit the road for a game at School Field against Adams on Sept. 27.
Class 6-A rival Elkhart visits the Kingsmen on Oct. 4.
Penn closes out conference play with a game at New Prairie on Oct. 11, and the regular-season finale is a home game against South Bend St. Joseph on Oct. 18.
Penn will have a bye on Oct. 25, and Class 6-A Sectional action starts on Friday, Nov. 1
