Caleb Evans is a 6ft sophomore at Penn High School who is starting for the Penn Kingsmen JV Football Team.

How do you feel about your season so far?

I feel pretty good about the season so far, although as a team we didn’t have an outcome that we wanted for one game but we got it back together and played much better.

Who is gonna/has been the most competition and why?

I think definitely Mishawaka was our most challenging team that we have played and I believe they were the hardest team on our schedule.

What are you most excited for this season and why?

I am most excited for the playoffs because I feel like that is the most energetic and fun part of the season.

What do you do daily to make yourself better?

I always hydrate and do small workouts on the side (like pickleball lol)  to continue to help me stay in shape and to be ready for games.

Who’s your biggest inspiration and why?

One of my biggest inspirations is my brother, he is always working hard and continues to encourage me to work harder and harder day by day.

What’s a special moment during your career you remember?

Last year when I scored a 75-yard touchdown and also getting scout team player of the week a couple of weeks ago.

How do you train for your position and get better?

I work on specific exercises for my position like grip strength, agility, plyometrics etc. just anything to get me stronger and faster to excel past others.

What do you like most about your sport?

One thing I love about my sport is that there is always someone working to beat you and to be better than you at your position so I love always working harder and improving myself and improving as a team.

What’s a dream college and why?

Texas A&M or Georgia because they have a very good marketing program and they have a good football program.

How do you handle pressure during competition?

I handle pressure just by taking deep breaths and hyping myself up and just repeating the plays and goals that I want to remind me why I play football in the first place, and that usually calms me down and makes me set and ready.
